Minor tribal girl gang-raped in Wayanad

Kalpetta: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old minor tribal girl was allegedly gang-raped at Kalpetta in Wayanad.

Police sources said two people were arrested in connection with the incident while another accused was on the run.

The incident happened in July 30. She was gang-raped after dragging her to a deserted place. They said the accused had raped her several times.

Meanwhile, her relatives alleged that there were moves on the part of the police to settle the case.

“The police have not yet collected the vital evidences including the dress of the girl. They even show reluctance to record the statement of the victim,” they alleged.
