Mini-marathon for youngsters to convey essence of freedom

Kozhikode: Thousands of youngsters took part in “the Run- for- Freedom” mini marathon jointly organised by Madhyamam Daily and Teen India across the state on the occasion of the 69th Independence Day on Saturday.

The mini marathon was conducted to convey the essence of freedom to the youngsters and make them better citizens. Children from classes 6, 7 and 8 participated in the mini marathon.

The running events were held at Cherthala (Alappuzha), Kazhakkottam (Thiruvananthapuram), and Paravoor (Kollam), Kizhakkekotta (Thrissur), Ottappalam (Palakkad), Kondotty (Malappuram), Kozhikode, Panamaram (Wayanad) and Kannur.
