Kozhikode: A doctor was arrested for allegedly issuing a fake medical certificate in a case related to the suicide of a teacher in Malappuram.
Dr. Koya, managing director of Koyas Hospital in Kozhikode, was arrested by the police on Tuesday morning.
Sources said the medical report had said that Aneesh Kumar had assaulted the peon at the school. However, the police probe team had found that the claims made in the report were wrong.
K. K Aneesh Kumar, a teacher who was expelled from Munniyoor Higher Secondary School, was found dead in a lodge at Malampuzha on September 2, 2014.
