Thalassery: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has called for a 12-hour shut-down in Kannur district on Tuesday to protest the murder of one of its activists.
Elenthottathil K T Manoj (43), an RSS district leader, was hacked to death here in an apparent act of political vendetta.
Manoj, a resident of Kadirur near here, was rushed to the hospital after he was attacked by unidentified men. He, however, succumbed to injuries Monday morning.
Police force has been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incidents.
The attackers are yet to be identified.
