UAE to grant 10-year residence visa to specialist docs, engineers
text_fieldsAbu Dhabi: UAE Cabinet has approved a proposal to grant 10-year residence visa to specialist doctors, engineers, corporate investor, and students with high achievements and their families.
UAE Vice President- Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum informed this through his Twitter account. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by him, amending the existing residence visa regulations.
Sheikh Mohammed also informed that authorities concerned have been asked to implement the cabinet decisions before the end of the year. It has also been directed that in the case of students under the sponsorship of parents, there should be a review of the residence visa regulations regarding extension of their visas. This was intended to give them an opportunity to continue residing in UAE even after the students.
The cabinet also decided to allow 100 per cent ownership in businesses for international investors. The Ruler also noted that the UAE will continue to be a haven for creative individuals, and a country conducive for investors.
The tweet also noted that the favourable atmosphere of the country, value of tolerance, infrastructure and pluralist legal code form the core basis of planning to attract international investments and special talent.
