New Delhi: India is mulling over fortifying its national Capital against 9/11-like attacks involving aircrafts, missiles and drones.

According to reports, India will procure from U.S the missile shield to secure the National Capital Region (NCR).

The talks for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System-II ( NASAMS-II) costing a whopping $ I Billion is reportedly well underway.

The air-defence system can ensure complete security to India’s airspace from rogue aircraft, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Alongside, India is getting closer to procuring very long range S-400 air defence systems from Russia.

In addition to this, India is also developing home-made Ballistic Missile Defence System (BMD) and the Phase-I of the BMD will be deployed in the offing.
