Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Hanuman Mishra succumbed to Covid on Tuesday. Mishra was admitted at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow after he tested positive for the virus.
He is the third minister in the state to succumb to Covid after state ministers Kamal Rani Varun and Chetan Chauhan, who had died due to Covid last year
Uttar Pradesh has been reporting the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the country after Maharashtra.
