The announcement was made following a special resolution passed during the party’s executive committee meeting.
As part of its preparations, TVK also announced plans to host a large-scale state conference next month. To spread its ideology and strengthen grassroots support, the party will conduct public meetings in villages across the state.
In a strategic move, the party has vested full authority in Vijay to decide on political alliances ahead of the elections. Additionally, TVK has set a major membership target, aiming to enroll two crore members statewide.
To personally connect with voters and build momentum, Vijay is scheduled to embark on a comprehensive tour of Tamil Nadu between September and December 2025. During this tour, he will engage with the public and rally support for the party, according to a report by India Today.
