Bengaluru: A security guard of a college was stabbed to death by a drunk student in Amruthahalli here.
Jai Kishore Roy was on duty at the gate when a function was underway at Sindhi College, NDTV reported.
It was then the student, identified as Bhargav who was allegedly drunk, arrived at the gate.
When the guard denied him entry, a clash broke out at the college gate.
The student pulled out a knife and stabbed the security guard in his chest. He died on the spot.
Footage showed the security guard, who was from Bihar, trying to stop the student but collapsed after the knife attack.
Bhargav has been arrested and taken for a blood test to confirm if he was drunk.
