Russian missile hits Indian Pharma firm's warehouse in Kyiv: Ukraine
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The Ukraine Embassy in India alleged on Saturday that a Russian missile struck the warehouse of an Indian pharmaceutical company in capital, Kyiv.
The warehouse that Ukraine claimed Russia to have attacked belongs to the major pharmaceutical company, Kusum.
Ukraine Embassy accused Russia of ‘deliberately’ targeting Indian company despite having ‘special friendship’ with India.
The Ukraine Embassy in India posted on X saying: ‘Today, a Russian missile struck the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine. While claiming 'special friendship' with India, Moscow deliberately targets Indian businesses - destroying medicines meant for children and the elderly.’
The UK's ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, confirming the incident said that ‘major pharma's warehouse in Kyiv’ was destroyed in Russian attack carried out by drones and not a missile.
Harris posted on X that Russian drones ‘completely destroyed’ the warehouse of a major pharmaceutical company in Kyiv, ‘incinerating stocks of medicines needed by the elderly and children. Russia's campaign of terror against Ukrainian civilians continues’.
However, Russia's defence ministry stated that Ukraine launched five attacks on Russian energy infrastructure violating the US-brokered moratorium against attacking energy facilities that both countries agreed last month.
Despite the agreement, the warning nations accuse each other of breaking the moratorium.
However, since the start of the war India has been stressing that only through dialogue between Russian and Ukraine that peace in the region could be restored.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi told podcaster Lex Fridman last month that he would tell Ukraine and Russia that no resolution would come on the battlefield.
