Ten Muslim families in Ghoti-Nandora village, Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, face a social boycott after a January mahasabha resolution barred Hindu families from any commercial or personal dealings with them, including buying groceries, food, goods, or barber services.

School bus driver Asif Hussain and electrician Sadiq Hussain have lost their jobs, with the families alleging it’s a calculated push to drive them out. Women endure constant fear, while children dread school harassment from classmates and teachers.

Former Independent MLA Kishore Samrite condemned the boycott as a constitutional violation of equality, freedom, and dignity, urging the Union Home Ministry to investigate the village sarpanch, secretary, and district officials for fostering communal tension.
