New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, his sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav heaved a sigh of relief as Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted them bail in the land-for-jobs case on Monday, according to The Indian Express.

Special Judge Vishal Gogne granted bail to them on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each alongside pointing out that they were not arrested during investigation.

The accused were summoned before the Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court based on a supplementary chargesheet against them.

They were accused of having made Group-D appointments in the West Central Railway Zone in Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) when Lalu Prasad was Railways Minister allegedly receiving land parcels in return.

Meanwhile, the court asked all the accused to surrender their passports and said the next hearing would take place on October 25.

The money laundering case emerged after the CBI filed complaint and alleged that Rabri and her son, Tejashwi Yadav, acquired control of AK Infosystems in 2014 for only Rs 1 lakh, purchasing shares at Rs 10 each even as the company owned land valued at Rs 1.77 crore.

Alongside, the CBI highlighted that most of the candidates chosen for the jobs belonged to a few districts in Bihar, pointing out that ‘wherein Lalu had political/ financial interest’.
