Udupi: The BJP leader and National Commission for Women (NCW) member, Khushbu Sundar, said that she will visit the college in Udupi where an incident of shooting an alleged video of a girl student in the restroom led to the suspension of three Muslim girl students from the college.

However, the incident, which was blown up by right-wing groups in Karnataka, was slapped with the larger conspiracy of 'Love Jihad' and was later dismissed after the police clarified that no evidence of the video being shared on social media was found.

Critics raised questions about Khushbu's proposed visit, citing her lack of vigour in a case related to Manipur where women reportedly faced sexual abuse.

Khushbu Sundar expressed her sadness at witnessing children engage in such invasive activities. As an NCW member, she vowed to thoroughly investigate the matter by speaking directly with the students involved, consulting with law enforcement officers, and visiting the college where the incident took place.

The incident came to light after three Muslim students from a private paramedical college allegedly filmed a Hindu girl inside the college restroom. Although no official complaint has been lodged, the Udupi police confirmed that the video was deleted and not shared with others. A student organization called "All College Student Power" had been vocal in agitating over the issue but later expressed satisfaction with the ongoing investigation, asserting that the video had not been disseminated further.

However, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), BJP's student organization, announced plans for a protest in Udupi on Thursday, opposing the incident. Some right-wing groups have gone further, making claims of a larger Jihadi conspiracy involving the circulation of nude videos of hundreds of Hindu women to Muslim men.
