New Delhi: A report revealed that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the richest CM in India and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is the poorest, NDTV reported.

Reddy has assets worth Rs 510 crores Mamatha has declared the worth of her assets Rs 15 lakhs.

The report, based on self-declared affidavits filed by the Chief Ministers of 28 states and two Union territories in the last elections they fought, was compiled by the Association for Democratic Reforms and National Election Watch.

Arunachal Pradesh premier Pema Khandu is in second position with total assets worth Rs 163 crore, while Odisha's Naveen Patnaik has Rs 63 crore ending up in third position.

Except for Mamata, all the other CMs from the analysed 30 have assets worth over a crore. Mamata is also the only woman on the list.

Just above, Haryana's Manohar Lal Khattar and Kerala's Pinarayi Vijayan stay with more than a crore worth of assets.

While Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao declared assets worth more than Rs 8 core, Basavaraj Bommai of Karnataka has more than Rs 4 crore as per his declaration. Eknath Shinde in Maharashtra has more than Rs 3 core worth of assets.

The report also carried details of the CM's criminal record, educational status etc.

The report dwelled not just on the financial status of the Chief Ministers but also on their criminal record, educational status, and so on.

Three out of the thirty chief ministers have criminal cases against them. Eleven of them are graduates, nine are post-graduates, four have professional degrees, and one holds a doctoral degree. When one is a class 10-pass, the remaining three are class 12-pass, NDTV reports citing the report.
