Delhi must ‘sweep’ away AAP with ‘broom’: Shah

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that the people of Delhi must “sweep” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi away with a “broom”. He said that the AAP rule in the national capital is nothing but a government of 3G, Hindustan Times reported.

The three Gs stand for "ghapla, ghuspaithiyon ko panah and ghotala", Shah said.

Addressing a public gathering at the Mustafabad assembly constituency, he said that the first G stands for 'ghotale wali sarkar’(government which commits scams), the second G stands for 'ghuspaithiyon ko panaah dene wali sarkar' (a government that shelters intruders) and the third G stands for 'ghaple karne wali sarakar' (the government that indulges in corruption).

He claimed that there is an issue of illegal migrants in the city, too.

"People are going to sweep the AAP out with a 'jhaadu' (broom, which is also the AAP's poll symbol) this time… It's because they know there is a 3G government in Delhi," HT quoted the BJP stalwart.

Amit Shah asked the Delhi people not to be lazy and vote for our AAP from power, or those who are responsible for the Delhi riots will return. He wondered who Delhi wanted, “those who threw the city to riots or those who saved” the city.

In a development in the national capital, eight AAP MLAs quit the party on Friday, claiming corruption in the party's ranks and departing from its basic ideologies. On Saturday, all of them joined the BJP, while assembly polls are scheduled for the Union territory on February 5th.
