The lawmaker for Asansol Uttar, who skipped several summons by ED, once previously appeared before Enforcement Directorate officers in Delhi in the coal pilferage case.

The news agency PTI reported quoting a CBI officer that since Ghatak's name surfaced in the scam, the agency wanted to find out his role and it got evidence of his involvement.
