Kochi: Rifa Taskeen from Mysore City started driving a car at the age of three, sitting on her father Tajuddin's lap. As the child grew, so did her passion for driving.

By the age of 15, she had driven many vehicles, from bikes to planes, all with special permission from the authorities. She has already received many recognitions. Rffa was also given a special award at an award ceremony organised by the PM Foundation in Kochi the other day.

Since she was a child, Rifa has mastered all types of vehicles, including two-wheelers, auto-rickshaws, cars, tractors, cranes, road rollers, buses, lorries, and bulldozers. She is not old enough to get a driver's license and drive a vehicle legally, so she drives on the grounds with special permission.

In 2018, she flew a plane in the presence of a co-pilot in Bengaluru city after special training. She broke various records as the youngest person to drive the most multi-wheeled vehicles at the age of seven.

Her father, Tajuddin, who runs a hotel in Mysore, was an expert in car and bike racing. He competed at the national level and passed on his driving skills to his daughter. Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have directly praised Rifa's skills.

Currently the brand ambassador of Mysore City and Karnataka Tuberculosis Control Project, this 10th grader is also a star in karate. She has won many medals in karate and boxing, including a gold medal in the National Karate Championship in 2024.

Although her father and mother, Biwi Fatima, want their daughter to become an IAS/IPS officer, Rifa's dream is to become a fighter pilot. She told Madhyamam that her achievements are due to God's blessings and the support of her parents.
