Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin appointed BJP National Working President
text_fieldsPatna: In a significant organisational move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday appointed Bihar cabinet minister Nitin Nabin as the party’s National Working President. The decision was approved by the BJP Parliamentary Board.
With the term of the current BJP National President JP Nadda having ended, the party has been deliberating on his successor. In the interim, the top leadership has entrusted Nitin Nabin with the responsibilities of the National Working President.
According to a letter issued by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, the Parliamentary Board has appointed Nitin Nabin to the position with immediate effect. The notification has been communicated to the National President, state in-charges, state presidents, and organisational general secretaries.
Nitin Nabin, 45, is an MLA from Patna’s Bankipur constituency. In the recent Bihar Assembly elections, he defeated RJD candidate Rekha Kumari. A five-time MLA, he is widely regarded as a disciplined and committed party worker.
Coming from a strong political background, Nitin Nabin is the son of senior BJP leader Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha. From his early days in student politics to holding key organisational and ministerial roles, he has steadily risen through the party ranks.
Currently serving as Bihar’s Road Construction Minister, Nabin is recognised for his administrative efficiency and modern outlook. His appointment as National Working President is seen as a vote of confidence in his organisational skills and political experience.
The BJP has also made a key organisational change in Uttar Pradesh, appointing Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary as the state unit president, part of the party’s broader restructuring ahead of upcoming political challenges.
