Bengaluru IT firm gets bomb threat

Bengaluru: Panic prevailed at the premises of a tech firm located in the Bengaluru Ecospace Business Park, following a bomb threat call on Tuesday, according to police.
An unidentified individual contacted the IDBO company located on the campus at 2 p.m., claiming that a bomb had been planted in their office which will explode soon.
Following the call, company representatives immediately alerted the police.
The authorities deployed the bomb disposal squad, dog squad and Internal Security Division to the tech park and soon the employees were evacuated and sent to a safe place.
Bellandur police have taken over the investigation of the case. Details are awaited.
The police are yet to issue an official statement in this regard.
Police sources suspect that the threat call was made by a former employee who had been terminated from the firm.
