Jammu: Just as protests against BJP and the UT administration boil in Jammu over militant's targeted attacks, Union Home Minister steps in to reviewing security situation in the region.

Amit Shah will chair a high level review meeting on June 3 to study the targeted killings of minorities in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), according to IANS.

The meeting will reportedly discuss arrangements required to stop the recurrence of the attacks; one of them the other day claimed the life of a school teacher, Rejni Bala in Samba district.

Last month, a revenue department employee Rahul Bhat was shot dead, stirring up protests.

On May 17, he had reviewed the security situation in J&K.

Shah's second review meeting within a fortnight follows the increased militant activity here.

The reviewing will have in attendance the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army chief General Manoj Pande, top officials of para-military forces, intelligence agencies, police and civil administration from the Union Territory, according to IANS.

The review meeting tomorrow will consider arrangements required for ensuring peace in the region. This is all the more important ahead of the annual Amarnath yatra that begins on June 30.

The Lieutenant Governor will reportedly give a detailed report to the Home Minister about the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir, according to the report.

The report says that the UT administration will immediately post non-local employees in secured locations in the Valley on June 6.

The administration reportedly will continue provide salary to migrant employees posted in the Valley and those belonging to the Jammu division under the Prime Minister's special rehabilitation package.
