8 Years of BJP power: union ministers to visit villages for feedback
text_fieldsJaipur: BJP has credited the 'MYY' factor for its recent victory in the Assembly polls. Vinod Tawde BJP's national general secretary in a press conference elaborated on MYY --- "mahila" (woman), youth and "yojana" (welfare schemes) and stated that to celebrate eight years of the Modi government, the party will adopt the theme "sewa, sushasan aur garib kalyan''.
In relation to the BJP completing eight years in power, the party on Friday announced that all Union Ministers will visit villages in India, and collect feedback from the people on the various welfare schemes. This decision was taken during a meeting of the BJP's national office-bearers', which was haired by its president JP Nadda.
According to NDTV, several people saw BJP coining 'MYY factor' as a counter to 'MY factor' that has been linked to its regional rivals like Samajwadi party in UP and RJD in Bihar who enjoined wide support from among Muslims and Yadavs.
The BJP victory in recent elections, and the support of the voters was largely seen due to them benefiting from the various Central government welfare schemes.
The BJP also voiced its concern over the crime situation in Rajasthan, which is ruled by Congress, During the meeting.
Citing a number of welfare programmes that was launched by the government, the party in a statement said that Prime Minister Modi would be etched in history "as a symbol of kindness and compassion".
"All the Union Ministers will visit villages across the country to interact with beneficiaries (of welfare schemes) and stay overnight there," Mr Tawde said, adding the visit is mainly for understanding the people's opinion about the schemes.
Mr Tawde ststed that Prime Minister Modi's leadership was the reason for BJP's victory in the Assembly Polls in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. He added that people voted for BJP, overlooking several consideration including caste.
"A new factor of MYY (mahila, youth and yojana) has emerged as a result of the Modi government's pro-people policies. And this factor was reflected in the recent assembly elections," Mr Tawde said.
The BJP also said in a statement,"Modi's resolve and work have created a segment of beneficiaries of government schemes and a new "MYY" equation, which is 'mahila', and youth and 'yojana', beyond the confines of castes and sects for creating a new India".
After concluding the meeting, BJP also adopted a resolution that highlighted PM Modi government's "India First" foreign policy, saying that regional imbalances could be checked with this policy.
'PM Modi government focused on the development of backward areas by terming them as "aspirational districts", it said.
MP Rajyawardan Rathore, BJP's national spokesperson shared the details of BJP's resolution on the state of Rajasthan, saying that the state has turned into a "hub of crime in the country". He further claimed that, "On one side, Rajasthan tops in crime against women, on the other, it is at the lowest position in the implementation of welfare schemes".
