Bengaluru: Four senior employees of a private company were kidnapped on Saturday morning from Bengaluru city’s Koramangala area, NDTV reported.

The kidnappers reportedly demanded Rs 18.9 lakh from the employees working at Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm called Global Telecom Connect Pvt Limited.

It is reported that eight people were arrested and a Toyota Innova and a Maruti Suzuki Wagon R used in the crime were seized.

Sarah Fathima, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South East Bengaluru told media that the kidnappers got the victims downstairs telling them that cops were waiting for them below their office building, before kidnapping them.

The kidnappers had one victim transfer the ransom to the account of their relatives, the officer added.

‘We received a 112 call alert. We formed teams and tracked them (the kidnappers) down, arrested them, and seized the two vehicles used in the crime,’ the DCP added.
