PSG draw 1-1 with Chelsea in Champions League

Paris: Edinson Cavani's goal earned Paris Saint-Germain a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their last 16 match in the Champions League here.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic put Chelsea ahead in the 36th minute with a looping header, before Cavani equalised with a downward header in the 54th Tuesday, reports Xinhua.

With 10 minutes remaining, Cavani burst into the penalty area and poked the ball just wide.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois denied Cavani with a spectacular first-half save and made four other fine stops to give Chelsea an edge for the return leg March 11.
