‘Swades’ actress Gayatri Joshi, husband survives car crash in Italy
text_fieldsFormer actress Gayatri Joshi and her businessman husband, Vikas Oberoi, reportedly survived a car accident in Italy which left a senior Swiss couple dead.
Gayatri and her husband were on a vacation and were travelling in their Lamborghini in Sardinia, during the Sardinia Supercar Tour, as part of which luxury cars parade from Teulada to Olbia.
As the couple were driving, a Ferrari smashed into a campervan and their car.
The Swiss couple travelling in the Ferrari died when the high-end vehicle caught fire. According to the reports, the couple have been identified as Markus Krautli (67) and his wife Melissa Krautli (63), both from Zurich, Switzerland.
Reports also suggest that the collision took place when the Lamborghini and the Ferrari tried to overtake a camper van at the same time, resulting in the Ferrari catching fire and overturning of the van.

Gayatri confirmed to Free Press Journal that she and her husband were doing “absolutely fine” after the tragic accident, reported the Hindustan Times.
“Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here. With God’s grace, we both are absolutely fine”, she said.
The video of the accident surfaced online soon after.
A former Indian actress, video jockey and model, Gayatri Joshi starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2004 film 'Swades' by Ashutosh Gowariker.
Despite winning quite a few awards for her debut, she left the industry soon after and tied the knot with businessman Vikas Oberoi in 2005. The couple have two kids.
