'Death on the Nile' film to be delayed after lead star's 'cannibal fantasies' revealed
text_fieldsThe star-studded adaptation of Agatha Christie's 'Death on the Nile' is set to be delayed after one of the lead stars was called out for his alleged disturbing sexual fantasies revealed by his former partners on Instagram.
Reports suggest that the big-budget film, which also stars Gal Gadot in the lead is now delayed due to the controversy. The film also stars Kenneth Branagh, Tom Bateman, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright.
An unverified account had posted chats allegedly between herself and Hammer in which the Hollywood star describes violent sexual fantasies including admitting that he was "100% a cannibal".
Paige Lorenze, a former girlfriend of Hammer also claimed in an interview to the Daily Mail that the star had carved an 'A' into her skin with a knife and enjoyed describing his gruesome fantasies to her.
With the public backlash against the actor, it is speculated that the film will be postponed indefinitely.
A few weeks ago Armie broke his silence on the claims, in his statement to E! News he said that he won't dignify the claims by responding to them.
His statement said, "I'm not responding to these bull***t claims, but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot, in good conscience now, leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic". In the statement, Hammer also added, "Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I'm grateful to them for that".
