Alia Bhatt turns executive producer for Amazon original series "Poacher"
text_fieldsStreaming giant Amazon Prime Video has announced that actor Alia Bhatt will step into the role of executive producer for the upcoming Amazon original series "Poacher."
Directed by Emmy Award winner Richie Mehta, known for his work on "Delhi Crime," this crime drama is set to premiere on Prime Video starting February 23, produced by QC Entertainment.
"Poacher" is an investigative crime series based on true events, unraveling the largest ivory poaching ring in Indian history.
Alia Bhatt, through her production banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, joins the project as an executive producer. She expressed her honor and excitement about being part of "Poacher," emphasising the deeply personal impact the narrative had on her and her production team.
Bhatt commended Richie Mehta's portrayal of the urgent issue of wildlife crime, citing its resonance with her and the team. The series sheds light on brutal crimes in Indian forests, based on true events, aiming to deliver a powerful message urging compassion towards all living beings.
