Vidya Balan hospitalised for suspected kidney stone

Mumbai: Actress Vidya Balan, who had plans to celebrate New Year with her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur abroad, had to cancel their outing and return home and get hospitalised after suffering shooting pains which could be due to a kidney stone.
The couple had boarded a connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to their destination but minutes later while the aircraft was taxiing to take off, Vidya suffered from shooting pain in her back.
The pain was so severe that the paramedics were called on board and they were taken off. She was taken to a clinic at the airport for examination.
Currently the actress is being treated at Khar Hinduja Hospital.
Tests have indicated it could be a kidney stone.
"Vidya is currently in expert hands at Hinduja hospital and is well on her way to recovery," said her spokesperson.
