India vs Sri Lanka 1st test, Day 2 updates: Sri Lanka 38/1 at tea
text_fieldsGalle: India continues to dominate in the test match managing to score a 600 in the first innings of the first test match against Sri Lanka with the help of Cheteshwar Pujara’s 153, backed by Ajinkya Rahane’s 57 and a half-century by Hardik Pandya.
India did not get an ideal start on Day 2 as they lost Pujara and Rahane in the first hour itself.
While Pujara fell to Nuwan Pradeep at 153, Rahane was dismissed by Lahiru Kumara for 57.
Though R Ashwin stayed at the crease for some time and built a 59-run partnership with Wriddhiman Saha but got-out just three runs short of his fifty. Saha too fell for 16. India were all out for 600.
From Sri Lanka Nuwan Pradeep was the pick of the bowlers who took 6/132.
Sri Lanka has begun batting.
