Jet Airways CEO Sanjiv Kapoor invited immense flak after he compared the Indian metro with Dubai's, saying that the metro infra in India is "artless concrete eyesores". He wrote his opinion on Twitter but faced furious replies from hurt netizens, NDTV reported.

Angry netizens crowded beneath the tweet and grilled Kapoor, and now he seems to have withdrawn the Tweet.

Sharing the pictures of Dubai and Bengaluru metro stations, Kapoor wrote on Twitter, "Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata... why are our overground/overhead metro stations such artless concrete eyesores? Take a look at Dubai (right) compared to Bangalore (left). And this Dubai station was probably built ten years ago! "NDTV quoted.

One slammed Kapoor saying his tweet is a typical response of those who don't appreciate their own country.

Another user said that transit need not have to be pretty. The user stated that if Kapoor had done more reading on urbanism and city planning, he would have never complimented Dubai, which according to the person, is a "planning nightmare". The person added that it is" borderline offensive" to logic the way Dubai city is set up.

A third user wished that Kapoor had seen India's ancient architecture. The difference between ancient India and the current is that then India had enough resources, and now the country does not. It cannot spend money on aesthetics, even if they cost low.

Later many shared pictures of metro stations across India, which are aesthetic and well-designed.
