Datsun redi-GO launched in India

New Delhi: Datsun India has launched the all new zippy redi-GO, the compact car in the entry-level segment, at an introductory price of Rs. 2.38 Lakhs in India.

The car has already won the attention of the young populace of India, who are now quite eager to book the hatchback via the “Datsun India” App, downloadable from Google Play Store.

Being an entry-level urban cross, the starting price is very low at Rs. 2,38,862, with the higher-end variant priced at Rs. 3,34,229, for the 0.8L three-cylinder i-SAT engine, mated to a 5-speed transmission, encased in the Japan’s “YUKAN” (bold and brave) philosophy design.

Producing 54 hp and 72 Nm, the acceleration from 0-100 takes 15.9 seconds, with the top speed at 140 km/h. The fuel economy is on the higher side with an ARAI-certified mileage of 25.17 km/L. The Datsun redi-GO is commendable for its best-in-class ground clearance at 185mm.

Datsun offers a two-year standard warranty/unlimited kilometers with free roadside assistance, along with a two to three year optional warranty/unlimited kilometers with free roadside assistance. Of the five variants, the top-end variant only has the driver airbag, which is not offered in the other four variants.
