Kuwait’s Ministry of Information and Culture and Jazeera Airways have signed a cooperation agreement with the national tourism platform Visit Kuwait to expand digital tourism services and promote the country as a regional travel destination.
Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi said the agreement supports the goals of the New Kuwait 2035 plan and reflects coordination between government and private sectors. He said the initiative will help unify tourism promotion efforts under one platform highlighting Kuwait’s cultural and historical identity.
“National development in tourism is achieved through genuine partnerships with the private sector based on innovation, shared responsibility and investment in Kuwait’s unique assets, its heritage, culture and strategic geographical location”, Al-Mutairi said.
He said the partnership focuses on using technology to improve visitor services and create a year-round schedule of tourism and cultural events. He added that coordination across public and private institutions is necessary to strengthen tourism’s contribution to the economy
Jazeera Airways Chairman and CEO Marwan Boodai said the agreement supports the government’s plans to diversify income sources and expand tourism activity. He announced a new “stopover package” that will allow passengers to stay in Kuwait for several days between flights to explore local attractions.
Boodai said simplified visa procedures have made entry to Kuwait easier and that tourism remains an important source of growth and employment in the Gulf. He encouraged Kuwaiti youth to pursue jobs in travel, aviation and hospitality.
Officials said the partnership will build a more organized tourism framework, promote Kuwait’s cultural presence and strengthen cooperation between public and private entities.
