Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah held separate phone calls on Monday with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Egypt and Jordan, as diplomatic efforts continued to ease regional tensions.
The Foreign Ministry said the calls reviewed the latest regional developments and efforts to promote security and stability.
Sheikh Jarrah spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
He also held talks with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi, during which both sides reviewed the regional situation and discussed diplomatic efforts to support security and stability.
In separate calls, Sheikh Jarrah spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi.
The ministry said the calls with Egypt and Jordan also focused on the latest regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions.
