According to the study, the US and China are among the top AI researchers in the world, with 30.4 per cent and 22.8 per cent, respectively. The study added that India needed to grow AI research by at least 40 per cent a year to cover a 5 per cent global share in the next five years to create a world-class innovation ecosystem, ET reported.

The Change Engine report, titled, further said that India registered a compound annual growth of 15.5 per cent in AI paper presentation in the decade of 2014-2023.
