Kremlin: The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russia's security services are in the know of Ukraine military intelligence’s threat on Russian President Putin’s life.

Russia’s reaction came after a Ukraine’s intelligence official put President Vladimir Putin top on Kyiv's kill list.

Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukraine's military intelligence service, shared with German newspaper Ukraine’s plan to assassinate Putin, according to Reuters.

Ukraine wanted to kill Russian President because he ‘coordinates and decides what happens’ in the war.

Skibitsky reportedly said that everyone will have to answer for their actions in the end.

‘Putin is noticing that we are getting closer and closer to him, but he is also afraid of being killed by his own people,’ Skibitsky was quoted as saying.

Skibitsky gave away more names in the list that included Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, military commander Sergei Surovikin and mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin.

However, Putin remains a difficult target according to Skibitsky because the President, nevertheless begin to appear in public often now, is ‘holed up’ most of the time.

When asked if security was stepped up for the President Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told state TV that Russian security services ‘know their job and know what they are doing.’

Citing the threat against Putin, Peskov justified Russia’s invasion of Ukraine 15 month ago.

‘The terrorist regime is talking about its terrorist aspirations. The special military operation is more than justified, more than necessary and must be completed by achieving its goals,’ Peskov reportedly said.

Meanwhile Kremlin reportedly consider the drone attack on it this month an attempt by Ukraine to kill Putin which Ukraine denied.
