China signals no more cooperation with WHO to find Corona origin

Beijing: As the origin of Coronavirus remains a mystery, the demand of the World Health Organization for another probe into the outbreak of the virus, including the controversial assumption of the virus's jumping out of the Wuhan lab, is reported to have been rejected by China.

Chinese scientists are said to have been contented with the result of the previous probe the WHO had held to determine the origin of the virus, which alluded to obscure reasoning of the origin, including the pathogen's transmission from animal to human through an intermediate. The scientists all together defied the virus' lab leak theory, terming it extremely impossible.

Chinese scientists are of the opinion that the controversial laboratory in Wuhan never had the virus to defend their insistence against another probe.

The hypothesis that was first coined by the former US President Donald Trump and was rejected after the WHO investigation, has reportedly gained traction when scientists around the world who are into the study of finding the origin of the virus questioned China's reluctance to provide access to the primary source material.

This led the world leaders to mount pressure on the WHO and China for a deeper probe into the theory that the Coronavirus leaked from a lab.

Chinese officials are seen to have been not interested in cooperating with another probe into the role of the Wuhan Institute of Virology's high-level lab that studied bat-borne pathogens and other coronaviruses as long as the 'lab leak' theory remains intact.

U.S. President Joe Biden in May said the U.S. intelligence community was divided on whether the virus emerged from human contact with animals or from a laboratory accident, and he ordered them to "redouble their efforts" and report back by late August.
