Britain's Princess Beatrice gives birth to second daughter
text_fieldsLondon: Princess Beatrice of Britain has given birth to her second child, a daughter named Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Wednesday. The baby, weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces, was born at London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on January 22.
The proud father, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, shared the news on social media, describing Athena as “tiny and absolutely perfect.”
The royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, expressed their delight over the arrival of the new princess.
Beatrice, who is ninth in line to the British throne, is the elder daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. She and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married in a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Windsor in July 2020.
Athena joins her older siblings—Edoardo's 8-year-old son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship, and Beatrice's 3-year-old daughter, Sienna.
