London: Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be writing a tell-all memoir about his time in the office. The controversial politician signed a deal with HarperCollins.

A press statement by Arabella Pike, the publishing director at William Collins, said Johnson has described his book to be "a prime ministerial memoir like no other." Pike told The Guardian that she looks forward to working with Boris Johnson as he writes his account of his time in office during some of the most momentous events the United Kingdom has seen in recent times.

HarperCollins on Monday confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote: "We are pleased to share the news that HarperCollins Publishers has acquired former Prime Minister Boris Johnson's memoir. WmCollinsBooks - an imprint of HarperCollins UK - will publish the book. No publication date has been set."

No details about how much Johnson will be getting paid were revealed. According to The Guardian, literary agents predict that he could get over one million pounds.

Boris Johnson was the UK's Prime Minister from July 2019 to September 2022. He led the country through several chaotic events including Brexit, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. His leadership style and actions have been heavily criticised.

He is a former journalist who has already written 11 books and many speculate that he will be writing his memoir by himself, unlike many celebrities who employ ghostwriters.
