Kabul: An intense blast in a mosque in the Afghanistan capital, Kabul, has killed ten people and injured twenty, IANS reported, citing ground reports of media from the war-torn country.

The blast that occurred in the Darul-Aman area of Kabul is the latest among a series of similar attacks across the country for months, Tolo News reported.

The Ministry of Interior's spokesperson, Abdul Nafay Takor, informed that more than twenty people got injured along with the ten dead and the latter was reportedly worshippers. Earlier, the official death count was five, and that information was publicized by the Security department spokesperson Khalid Zadran.

However, witnesses testified that the number of causalities could go higher. No one has claimed the responsibility for the attack.

In the meantime, the death count of the twin blasts at Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday has touched 11. Balkh Police Command spokesperson Mohammad Asif Waziri said that both blasts were out of explosives placed in minibuses. The perpetrators of the blasts will be caught soon and brought to justice, he added.
