Elon Musk to auction Twitter's surplus kitchen and office supplies

Twitter's new owner Elon Musk is offering every fan of the social media platform an opportunity to have some original souvenirs. He is gearing up to hold a year-end auction to get rid of the surplus kitchen appliances and office supplies in the San Francisco office.
According to the posting on the Heritage Global Partners website, Twitter is holding an online auction for its "surplus corporate office assets." The information given on the page read: "Online Auction Sale Featuring Surplus Corporate Office Assets of Twitter! Sale Featuring Kitchen Equipment, Electronics, Furniture, Memorabilia & More!"
Some of the items being auctioned off are chairs, espresso machines, kitchenware, pizza ovens, beer dispensers, display screens, iMac monitors, laser projectors, Apple desktops, and 55-inch digital whiteboards. A three feet tall Twitter Bird statue and a six feet tall @ sign with artificial plants are also among the unique memorabilia.
Opening bids start at $25 and $50. The auction will open on January 17, 2023.
Nick Dove, a representative at HGP, responded to the remarks that Twitter was selling off equipment to deal with financial trouble. He told Fortune that Twitter was sold for $44 billion. "We're selling a couple of chairs and desks and computers. So if anyone genuinely thinks that the revenue from selling a couple of computers and chairs will pay for the mountain there, then they're a moron."
