Tokyo: India's Manish Narwal has clinched India's third gold while compatriot Singhraj Adhana has won silver in the Paralympics 2020 P4- Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 final, reports NDTV.

The 19-year-old Manish touched a Paralympic record as he scored 218.2 points and Singhraj scored his second medal of the Paralympic 2020 Games with 216.7 points at Asaka Shooting Range in Tokyo.

Russia's Sergey Malyshev won the bronze in the event.

Of the medal-winning duo, Singhraj started better in the finals, placing a lead at the table with 92.1 points after the first ten shots. Manish, however, scored 87.2 in the first competition stage of the finals. He only had finished seventh during the qualification.

But in the elimination stage, both the Indians performed well, keeping their nerves when Chinese shooters charged ahead of them in the beginning. After the 18th shot, Manish finished at 4th with an excellent performance. And finally, in the 19th and 20th shots, he did the best to clinch the gold from Singhraj. In the last two shots, Manish finished with 8.4 and 9.1 against Singhraj's 8.5 and 9.4.

Earlier in the qualification, Manish had scored 533-7x points while Singhraj 536-4x after the end of six series. Singhraj had finished 4th in the qualification event.
