Sports: Star boxer and Paris Olympics 2024 gold medalist in the female category, Iman Khelif, is making headlines again after a leaked medical report suggested that the athlete is male.

The Algerian boxer was the most talked about star during the Olympics after many questioned Khelif being allowed to compete in the female category, alleging that Khelifis was male.

The newly leaked medical report, published by the French journalist Jaffar Ait Audi, was prepared in June 2023 by experts in Kremlin-Bicêtre Hospital in Paris and Mohamed Lamine Debaghain Hospital in Algiers. It states that Khelif is a man, and he has XY chromosomes and testicles.

According to the report, the presence of male genitalia was also confirmed in the MRI scanning conducted. Moreover, it has been found that Khelif has no uterus. Citing these findings, the report stated that Iman was not a woman. The International Boxing Association has banned Iman Khelif from from participating in the 2023 World Championship gold medal fight in Delhi.

Despite many standing against Khelif competing in the women’s category in the Paris Olympics, the boxer participated in the women's 66 kg category and won gold.
