Riyadh: Al Nassr defeated Al Wehda 4-0 on Thursday, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring all four goals as he surpassed 500 league goals in his club career.

As of right now, the 38-year-old Portuguese star has 503 goals scored for five teams across five leagues.

He scored three goals in his brief career for Sporting Lisbon, 103 over two stints for Manchester United, 311 for Real Madrid, and 81 for Juventus.

After his contentious split from Manchester United following the World Cup, Ronaldo joined Al Nassr, where he currently has five goals, AFP reported.

He scored a left-footed goal in the 21st minute on Thursday to reach the 500-goal milestone.

Just before the break, he made it 2-0 with his right foot, and eight minutes into the second half, he scored his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

It was the 61st hat trick of his career.

When he was the first to a rebound shortly after the hour mark, he added a fourth.

Last Friday, Ronaldo scored a stoppage-time penalty in a 2-2 away tie against Al Fateh to make his debut for his new team.

According to sources close to Al Nassr, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who holds the all-time records for Champions League and international goals, is banking more than 400 million euros for his unexpected move to Saudi Arabia.

According to the reports, the enormous sum includes 200 million euros for marketing Saudi Arabia's anticipated joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

Ronaldo has emerged as the face of the conservative kingdom's campaign to boost its image through sports, which has sparked charges of "sportswashing" or an effort to whitewash its human rights record.
