Sports: Search engine giant Google revealed on Tuesday that Indian legend Virat Kohli is the most searched cricketer in its 25 years of service.

In the most searched names in the sporting universe include cricketers Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Captain Cool MS Dhoni, Hitman Rohit Sharma, etc., but Kohli overtook all to become the most searched cricketer in the history of Google.

However, it is not Kohli, the most searched athlete. It was Real Madrid and Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who still plays in the Saudia Arabian club Al-Nassr at the age of 38.

Ronaldo overtook his arch-rival Lionel Messi too. They were the biggest players in the game in their generation, reports NDTV. They have dominated the game for around 15 years.

During the Men’s ODI World Cup Semifinal against New Zealand last month, Virat Kohli created history as he surpassed legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with his 50th ODI century. He also became the second Indian batter to have a World Cup 100 against New Zealand after Sunil Gavaskar.

"All this feels like a dream, too good to be true. Feels surreal for me. Again a big game today, I had to play the role I have played throughout the tournament so that the guys around me can go and express themselves. Just glad everything came together so nicely, and we put up a great total on the board as well," said Kohli then.

However, half a century alone couldn't take India to a fair score in the final against Australia. India lost the final, and Australia won their 6th World Cup title.
