Sydney: The Indian cricket squad in its Australian is in for yet another blow with pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah being kept out of the fourth test to be played in Brisbane.

Bumah had a strain in his abdomen during India's third test in Sydney which ended in a draw after many an anxious moment for India.

"Jasprit Bumrah suffered an abdominal strain while fielding in Sydney. He is going to sit out of the Brisbane Test but is expected to be available against England," PTI quoted a BCCI source.

Bumrah's scan report detected the strain and the team management is reported to have played safe for saving him from any deterioration in his health, especially with the upcoming four-test series against England.

In the absence of Bumrah, the lead role in India's pace segment will be played by Mohammad Siraj supported by Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan.

To add to India's injury woes, Mayank Agarwal, seen as Hanuma Vihari's substitute in the played XI, took a knock on his hands and has a suspected harline fracture.

As a further hit to the team's fitness, R Ashwin found his back spasms aggravated, leaving the Indian team management with few options than to drop him.

The Brisbane test is to start on January 15.
