RAK police rescue two tourists stranded in mountain

The Air Wing of Ras Al Khaimah Police, in collaboration with the Search and Rescue Section, successfully rescued two tourists—a man and a woman—stranded on a mountain summit at an altitude of 3,000 feet. The incident occurred in one of the emirate’s rugged mountainous areas, where the pair reportedly became exhausted during their climb.

Authorities received a report from the operations room indicating that the tourists were stranded. Acting promptly, the Air Wing dispatched a helicopter to the scene, providing immediate assistance and airlifting the individuals to safety. The tourists were unharmed but required support after being unable to descend on their own.

Ras Al Khaimah Police have reiterated their appeal to adventurers and mountain enthusiasts to exercise caution when exploring the emirate’s mountainous terrain.
