Sharjah Excellence Award honours Gulf Madhyamam for role in Chamber initiatives

Sharjah: Gulf Madhyamam was honoured at the Sharjah Excellence Award ceremony, held under the leadership of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
Representatives of Gulf Madhyamam received the recognition from Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Seaports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, and Chairman of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority, during the ceremony held at Expo Centre Sharjah.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered the opening address at the event.
The honour was received by S.K. Abdulla, Senior Manager of Sales and Business Solutions at Gulf Madhyamam, and Sajid Shamsuddeen, UAE Country Head of Gulf Madhyamam.
The ceremony was organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Gulf Madhyamam was the only international media organisation honoured at the event.
Winners of the Sharjah Excellence Award were also recognised across different categories. Awards were presented to local businesses, organisations from the Gulf region and individuals who have made significant contributions to the economy. This year, 13 businesses and entrepreneurs received awards for outstanding achievements.
Gulf Madhyamam, the first international Indian daily, has been working as a partner in various initiatives of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Come On Kerala, the Middle East’s largest Indian international expo, held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is also organised in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Ajman Chamber board; Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department; Saleh Al Sharqi, Secretary-General of the Federation of GCC Chambers; Humaid Mohammed bin Salem, Secretary-General of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry; members of the Sharjah Chamber board; representatives of UAE and GCC chambers; leading business figures and senior officials.
