Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all service provider centres will be closed on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in observance of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birthday. Operations will resume on Monday, September 16, 2024, with regular hours.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has also confirmed it will remain closed on the same day, meaning amnesty services will not be available.

In addition to this, the UAE has declared a paid holiday on Sunday for both public and private sector employees. Public parking in Sharjah will be free on September 15, except for seven-day paid public parking zones marked with blue signs.

Looking ahead, UAE residents can expect another holiday for National Day, with December 2 and 3 (Monday and Tuesday) being official holidays. Coupled with the weekend, this will create a four-day break.
