Dubai Police celebrated the traditional Hag Al Laila with a public community event at Global Village, attracting families from across the UAE for an evening focused on heritage and social interaction.

The event was organised by the Positive Spirit Council in coordination with Dubai Police, Global Village, the Event Security Committee, Hemaya Schools and other partners. It was held in the open area in front of the UAE Pavilion, where strong public attendance created a family-oriented atmosphere.

According to organisers, the celebration formed part of Dubai Police’s support for national initiatives linked to the Season of Wulfa and the Year of the Family. The initiative strengthens family bonds, encourages social cohesion and preserves Emirati cultural values within the country’s diverse communities.

Fatima Bohajir, chair of the Positive Spirit Council, said cultural and community events play a key role in promoting values such as tolerance, generosity and positive coexistence. She said Global Village offers an appropriate setting for such activities due to its cultural diversity, helping to encourage participation, cooperation and a sense of belonging among children and young people.

The program included the distribution of gifts and souvenirs, musical performances by the Dubai Police Band, participation by tourist police patrols and the Al Aasas team and appearances by mascots Mansour and Amina.

Families and visitors from various nationalities took part in the event, with organisers describing the evening as a shared celebration of Emirati heritage and community engagement.
