Dubai: Global Village reopens after month-long closure
text_fieldsGlobal Village reopened in Dubai on Monday after a month-long closure linked to the Iran-Israel-US tensions, with vendors returning to their stalls and visitors welcomed back in a festive atmosphere.
As the gates opened at 5pm, confetti, cheers and applause filled the venue. A Dubai Police parade featuring drums, bagpipes and horses led the celebrations before golden confetti rose over the crowd. Vendors, some tired after 48 hours of preparations, said they were glad to be back at the seasonal destination known for food, shopping and family entertainment.
The reopening comes during Global Village’s 30th season, which runs from October 15, 2025 to May 10, 2026. The current edition includes 30 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, along with over 3,500 shopping outlets and more than 250 dining options.
Global Village said it will open daily from 5pm to midnight, with tickets available online, through the app and at the gate. Weekday entry starts from Dh25 per person, excluding public holidays.
