Dubai drives public platform for street naming proposals

Dubai has introduced a new platform allowing the public to propose names for roads and streets across the emirate. The initiative, called the Street Designation Proposal, is led by the Dubai Road Naming Committee (DRNC) and supervised by Dubai Municipality.

The platform looks forward to enhancing community participation in naming streets. It aims to revive heritage names, highlight national identity and restore socio-cultural characteristics that reflect Dubai’s history and values. This initiative aligns with the emirate’s future development and orientation.
